Many LPNs use their experience in the field to become a RN as that is the next logical promotion but the schooling is necessary. The salary of a RN is much higher but the cost is also higher when getting BSN(Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree). For people interested in getting into the field quicker, there are many online programs to enroll in order to obtain your licensed LPN degree. With your degree in nursing, you can keep growing and learning and can even earn a MSN(Masters of Science in Nursing Degree) which will focus on the overall management of a medical facility.
